ok so i found this site which most people probably have used for the Lotek triple gauge pod

http://www.gaugepods.com/celica.html

that site has the triple for $44.99 and it is available in 2 1/16" or 60mm

1. my first question is im pretty sure the more common size and the one i want is 2 1/16" right?

2. my second question is the color. you can have it black, unpainted or you can gave it painted dark charcoal for an extra $7.99. Which do i want? like my car is black inside but is dark charcoal gray or is it like a better matching black

right now i think i should get the 2 1/16" size and the black unpainted color. correct me if im wrong in doing this.

Dude... 1. What size are your guages? If its 2 1/16" then get 2 1/16"...
2. What do you prefer? Its up to you man on what you want and like. but as far as my opinion is concerned, i'll go with black to give it a more continuous look.

I was checking that site and was wondering if this will replace out A pillar? If so thats a hell of a price. I have one of those universal junk and wished I would have known about this. Let me know if this will replace our pillar.

The one that came with my car you can tell was meant to go over the existing a-pillar cover but someone cut the stock one and used this one in it's place making the a-pillar cover two peice. Doesn't fit or line up very well. The one thing it does do well is it goes down into the seam where the dash and the a-pillar cover connect making it look factory there.

I just want one that replaces the a pillar. If I can't find one I'm just going to mold the gauge pod to my pillar.

i have the lotek one and it fits perfectly over the old one. you slide it into the bottom and screw it in at the top and middle. looks almost factory too.

well how high up does the end of the gauge pod go up the pillar? Like does it go all the way up past the head rest? Or does it just go up to the top of the pillar?

The phrasing of your question is a little difficult to respond to but I think I know what you mean. You're asking if it goes up and back to the join above the seatbelt? Then no - it only goes to the top of the pillar.

Edit: Here you go:

As I said one of the previous owners cut the stock pillar cover but you get the idea.

Um that must be a deceptive pic cause the fitment is for sh*t. It would look good if I replaced the stock peice underneath [which I will eventually]. Where the fitment really shines is where it connects to the dash at the bottom - nice peice of work there.
Just get this peice - it'll work perfectly for what you need it for and you have to look up to see it's not stock.

The funny thing is, I didn't get it from autozone. Before I was going into for a tune I wanted to install my gauges and have the right gauge pod. So the guys at the shop ordered me one that was suppose to fit, but silly me didn't check the reciept. It was for a 2000+ celica. But what ever. I ended up hacking it up to fit okay, but will scrap it for these.
