Since the title is "doGGy, has anyone else had a horrible experience dealing with him?" I will say no, I have not.

I have got two things form him, and I love both. When I bought from him (2-3 years ago) he was was making a lot of parts, and make a lot of members really happy.

He doesn't work on celi's anymore, he's making way more money doing stuff that pays better than a bunch of poor (most of us) celica owners can pay.

I don't think i understand your complaint- If he doesn't have your money, then what are you complaining about? You spent $100 to ship something then he denied... what did you put on the customs form, Value: $800? Next time you're sending to a foreign country, check what the break points for duties are and he won't have to refuse shippment.

He agreed to make you something and he hasn't? Hm. Ok. He flaked out. So? People flake out all the time- try posting something for sale on craigslist if you don't believe me.

If he doens't have any of your money, or any of your stuff, then it seems the only complaint is he said he'd do something that he hasn't done, and thats pretty week.

You open a topic asking for it, and I tell it.

lol ya, i expected most people to have had a good experience with him when i posted this topic

i shipped him with the cheapest method possible that included tracking @ canada post which was $100-$120 and gave it a value of $50 because that is how much i could probably find a used one for if anything happened. he tells then tells me later (once he found out customs held my package) that he forgot to tell me to mark it with a value of no more than $20 and not to get tracking otherwise vat tax was 100% or something ridiculous like that

anyway. ok so let's give an analogy, although it is a very poor one:
-you want me to rebuild a turbo because i'm the best (LOL) and i can do it in 1 week and you need it FAST
-it cost u $100 to ship it to canada via fedex 2day bcuz it's so damn heavy n because you want it rebuilt FAST.
-you put a value of $200 because well, that is what is is worth, you don't want anything to happen to it and i don't say a thing
-i decline it because in canada everything over $20 will be charged tax (13% here) and fedex brokerage is damn expensive (probably $40-$60 in fees for a $200 item). (i bet you don't know that huh?)
-it gets 'returned to sender' and you have to pay all the outstanding fees (luckily i did not have to)
-i tell you 'whoops. forgot to tell you to ship via USPS and with a value no more than $20" but anyway, i'll source one locally and get it done for you asap
-2 weeks comes along and you ask me how it's goin and i say i've started but i've been busy
-1.5months and you ask again and i'm 1/2 done
-3 months later i start selling some custom headers here and you message me, i say i'm busy
-6 months comes along and i'm still 1/2 done when you ask, and then you see i just did a custom build for someone else
-1 year comes along and i come out with... i dunno custom cams and when you ask, i'm almost done your rebuild, but i just don't have time to finish some final steps.
-1.5 years comes along and i leave the market without saying a word to you and you cant reach me with PMs anymore

can you say u will NOT have a sour taste in your mouth after that experience? you threw $100 down the drain, wasted 1.5 years and got nothing out of it. do you understand my complaint now? if you were dealing with somebody less known (like me) most people would probably have thrown a fit a lot sooner

doGGy is/was a mod here (was since he is no longer active here even though he still has that status) and he is basically operating like an individual business... and with all his reputation, you really would expect SOME professionalism (ie. communication).. i don't expect he answer my PMs right away or anything because i understand he is busy and he is an individual, not a big store.

i DO deal a lot online so i DO know people back out of deals and such. but you still feel mad when it does happen. besides, this is why all i said is i had a bad experience with him, not that he is a scammer or anything

I ship Romas stuff on a very regular basis.... and shipping shouldn't have been over $100, nor should a declared value of $50 have given any taxes to Romas (I believe it's above 100 or so). Something isn't right here and we will get Romas into the thread. Romas operated on a very low profit basis while he was here and I can completely understand why he stopped. My .02 this thread should just be closed because it's retarded.

i have no idea why it is so expensive but that was the cheapest option for me when shipped with tracking. i don't know what happen really, that is all with the shipping companies and customs.

but he did start working on it after finding one locally.

sadly, i don't have all the old PMs between me and him because of the PM limit on 6gc and for some reason, emails kept getting lost between us so we just stuck with the PMs here.

i don't really think it should be closed yet. i mean, we are having some discussion still anyway, we can always wait until if doggy repleis first before closing or whatever

First thing - then i told you SHIP IT WITH USPS - what did you reponded to me? WE DONT HAVE USPS in Canada... Next thing what you did - was shipped it with DHL - shipping was like 120$ + you valued it at 65$! And DHL - is one of the WORST things here - they even charge for customs papers / declarations / work they do (even that they do nothing) and you have to go and pick the stuff from them even that they are like 100 miles from me... AND I DID told you to not DO SO - cuz im telling everyone to NOT DO SO - cuz we get charged for every freeking $ here... I HAD to pay around 280 litas import tax for this god damn piece of plastic - so i could easily do so - and charge you additional $ in the end and your cluster would run sky high - and you would not be happy anyway...

After this - it was all of my fould - im not denying - yea it was all me. Not having $ in hands, and not having somthing that isnt belonging to me - it was hard to find time to make all this happend... I have a life / job / wife / my own personal time - but from all this 80% takes my JOB, cuz im getting $ from what i do - and i do the jobs that gives me $ instantly - this is why your stuff was behind my back... And time passed and it was even harder to get back and finish what i started... NOW - i dont even have time to BREATH, really, im sleeping 5 hours a day, not spending my time with my WIFE, im not having my own personal time - and i really dont have time to go back and spend another 12-16 hours finishing what i started - and in the end getting 200$ that means NOTHING to me now - cuz of the works im doing and cuz of the works that have priority NOW to me, and that i get x10 bigger $ from them...

Maybe its not right - but thats how it is NOW, and i can not go back to past and correct this mistake.

And honestly - i dont even see a solution in this case - i could compensate your $ - but why should i do so - i didnt screwd you, right?

I could finish the damn cluster - but HONESTLY - i dont have time for this AT THE MOMENT and 2 month in front - so this isnt a solution...

So maybe you have somthing to offer to solve this?

ok, so maybe i was wrong about the shipping value part and you not telling me. so i guess that part was my fault. but either way it would cost the same value to ship the item to lithuania for item value anywhere from $0-$100.

yea, we don't have USPS since i am in canada. so i used Canada Post. i did not use dhl. i guess canada post hands their packages over to DHL in your country. (i'm sure this is common in a lot of countries when shipping internationally) that was something outside my control. i never would even know that since it is my first time shipping outside north america.

well like i stated before, since you had already showed me the finished cover piece (that you used to also normally sell) i'll be happy if i can just have that instead of the entire cluster. (and this thread can end)
