Jack was an excellent Joker. By the looks of it, Heath seems to have done something great with the character also. I love the first Batman from 1989, but Batman Begins in no way makes a good prequel, and rightly so, it's not a prequel. It's a reboot of the entire franchise.
After Batman (1989) the franchise went south, real fast. Batman Returns was Ok, until the penguins started shooting rockets. But as soon as they repeated the whole, 2 villains per movie thing, and started lighting Gotham up in neon colors and putting nipples on Batman's suit and destroying the Batmobile every movie it couldn't possibly be taken seriously. It was atrocious. I want to vomit thinking about Batman forever, and Batman & Robin. Once you guys see the new trailer, heavily laden with Joker, you will be taken back by how great his portrayal seems to be. the one and only reason the dark night is going to kick major ass: heath ledger (joker) got so involved with his character he had trouble sleeping due to bad thoughts and such. eventually leading to a sleeping pill over-dose. so he died solely because of the sinister role he played. making this movie SUPER BAD ASS. sucks he died though

My brother on the other hand doesn't like the first one and prefers the ones you describe - no accounting for taste [altho his are usually right on IMO]. omg..if you have not even seen the first four original batman movies, do not comment. jesus. its like having to explain calculus to a wall.
first batman = awesome. 2 through 4, ****ing horrible. batman begins = decent that trailer comparison is LOL. seriously just going through a movie and matching up parts. its not like its not gonna have explosions, police, the joker doing crazy sh!t, and showing the bat signal. jesus. --------------------  Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

2nd batman was good too. cat woman was just awesome in it, and the penguin did a good job too... but like erik they lost me when the penguins starter shooting rockets. then it all went down hill from there.
