**** it all. america is ignorant. everything done overseas has no direct effect on any other american besides the ones dying there. we dont see any progress. only the bs that people put on the bias media that make us feel sorry about these people who are giving up their lives to "protect our freedoms"

people die everyday around the world. making Marines seem more important is ignorant. is their life worth more than those who die without having to be shot/burned/maimed?

were all human. i've experienced a buncha stuff in regards to death/illness and what do i get? huh? what makes a marines life more important than my mom's or my grandfather's? my grandfather was a vet, passed away, what the **** did my grandma get? a dumbass american flag.

Alright lets all disrespect the armed forces. This thread was to show some respect to a man who suffered and made good out of it. I believe it was taking to far...please start a new thread about our government bc thats not what this one was suppose to be about.

The funny thing is people are saying there points and arguing with someone who was a Marine who understands the war more than any of us...unless you have been there yourself....I can understand if Jeremy was like I find this thread disrespectful bc you don't understand what happens overseas..but Jeremy is defending this poor guy...That makes me think most of u just "hate" America and will just fight about anything..I guess you just need to experience more to understand.

Hey we all have our views I guess but cant we find a different place to discuss them...It saddens me to read it here.

I am sorry to everyone who lost someone believe me I have lost someone close to me to...If I every read a thread like this about the person I lost I would be a mess.....just think of his family..think of going online and reading all this about someone close to you how would you feel now?

You know I thought about posting up a poem for the person I lost..It was the anniversary a few months ago...Now I thank God I didn't bc it would have made me sick if anyone showed disrespect.
R.I.P

some of you fckin people are unreal...the thread was to respect the man who basically died to defend your ass whos sittin on the computer not doin **** and belittling others that are making a difference...its f*ckin pathetic that you (shogunwhatever) and whoever else who has a problem with the post would even bother saying s*it like that...just dont talk at all...your better off not saying anything then pissing off me, the 6gc comunity or 90% of the US citizens that respect the US armed forces...of course it's war and stuff like this happens all the time...thanks for pointin out the obvious jackass...and on another note..yes i do agree with the statement that the news sucks and most of the time its "bad news" but its reality....dont disrespect people who risk their lives every single day so you can continue to sit on your ass infront of your computer and do nothing....some of you assholes wouldnt last 10 minutes over there...and if anyone has a problem with this post they can come see me personally...i apoligize if im "breaking the rules of the forum here" but it gets out of hand....and a pat on the back to you griffgirl for bringing this to our attention....my prayers go out to him and his family along with friends that i know personally who are serving/will be serving very shortly

your grandmother shouldnt have gotten ****...she didnt do ****...so whats your point..my grandmother shouldnt have gotten **** either when my grandfather died...she didnt deserive anything..if you dont like america then leave...just that simple...move to canada....and yes...marines are more important then the average fu8k up living on the street....just caus you work and hold a job dont mean ****...your still worthless...do something to make a fu*kin difference then you'll be more valuable to the united states...if everyone did a little something then it would be a better place...but instead we sit on our computers and belittle poeple who are making a difference....your f*ckin nuts dude....any marine's life would be worth more then yours caus hes actually doing something...grow the hell up and educate yourself a litte before saying stupid **** like"people die everyday"...damn?? really?? thanks for the info..woulda never guessed it....i love 6gc and the members on here are extreamily helpfull...but the attitude of this site blows..im sorry...everyday im getting more and more turned off...i rather get no help then help from some asshole who thinks people serving in the military are unimportant

Okay, I am sorry on my behalf, but I have a few questions now.

1. Defending the country from what exactly? "*Terrorists" or Gas Prices?
2. Does anyone actually and can honestly swear to God they enlist to "Defend the Country"?

*A term used for media scare (ask yourself how easy is it to walk into a public area and waste loads of people and ask how our tax dollars went to preventing that)

Again, I am sorry. We were douches and Shannon pretty much laid the "Owned" down with what she said (at least I believe so). Shannon, I am sorry if I came off like an ass. I am also sorry I posted this reply but guy did go a little overboard targeting Shogun and calling him that. I just want to know what else he thinks, he is doing a great job of that.

absoutly...if we didnt have people signing up then they would have a draft..then YOU would have to serve...wouldnt that be something....seriously if noone enlisted and the US didnt care then we would be taken over by some country with their standards of living (which blow)....i think you all need to take a step back and look at the big picture....we are supporting our TROOPS and our country...not nesicerally the war

Wow. I had no idea. Some of you really suck.

I saw this story, and it touched me because this guy stands for so much - he represents every single person who has VOLUNTEERED for this stupid ass bull**** of a lie war. He overcame TREMENDOUS obstacles, and turned it into something positive that will change the lives of many. This guy is a reminder that we should respect and remember EVERY person in the armed forces, whether they get injured or not, who is willing to stand up for and die for this country, despite its leadership for that matter! This man represents strength of character in the face of adversity - and pain - and suffering, tremendous pain and suffering.

I didn't mean to spark such a debate, but I'm not apologizing for posting up the link to the story. He deserves recognition and respect for the life he lead, a moment of reflection from strangers for the void he's undoubtedly left behind in his passing, and praise for starting something bigger than himself.

It's a story that to me, is a reminder that all of those people who DON'T get the recognition of news stories deserve to have some positive energy put out into the universe by us. We may not hear about every single one of them, but it doesn't mean they aren't being thought of or praised and respected in some other way.

I'm sorry I am also at fault but I gotta report this post. I am sorry it got taking way to far all that matters to me right now is that I have respect for this man and I feel for his family what the rest of you feel and think I am sorry but it doesn't matter it wont change how I feel.

I am very sensitive so story's like these get to me...I guess the internet really sets in how different people can be and how insensitive some of us are.

I have said my peace and want no hard feelings we really all are here for one reason and one reason alone so lets just get back to the one thing that brings us all to 6gc...THE CELICA....I hope one day 6gc members can post something they hold close to there heart without having to be worried about being bashed.

Here is to many many more closed threads....If you have anything left to say I would say it before tomorrow bc by then I will assume this once heart warming thread will be closed...as for the fighting I think AIM is the best choice.

Ok, this is a tough subject, for some more than others. It seems to have gone past the healthy debate stage now.
