Im toying around with the idea of boosting the 7afe instead of swapping it since the motor only has 60k miles on it and was wondering how many psi those who are running the 7afte are running and the horsepower/torque numbers they are running.

From what I've seen on the boards and heard from looking into this a bit myself, 8psi is an optimal range for the 7A. Much higher and I think things start to, uh, "spring".

thanks for the info, i had a list of all the nescescary parts but was too lazy to pull it up when i was writing it.

since my motor only has 60k miles i have been debating on turboing it or swapping in the 4A-GE silvertop. but it looks like for about the same price as the swap i can get more power and not go through the hassle of swapping the motor.

Very good decision. No sense letting a good, low mileage engine go to waste.

Just to let you know. Just because you have 60k miles doesnt mean your motor is in tip top shape. A motor with 60k miles driven by a younger male, hitting the rev limiter all the time is different frim a motor with 60k miles driven by an old woman. Make sure you do a compresssion test.

wrong the new map sensor lets you engine read boost if you dont change this you will at least have to use check valves

observing my wide band its exactly where i want it.... which is 10-11 at boost and 14 else where...what difference would the 2bar make? would it be a more precise incline to 11 from 14? and what are all the engines i can take this from?
