Hey, I recently got a Celica a few months ago and it had a couple of things wrong like cv joints and the water pump had gone but thats all fixed now.

Since I got it I have noticed a grinding/scraping kinda noise ONLY when I slow down, sometimes I don't hear it at all, other times its very noticeable, and I Know its not linked to the brakes cause It happens even when I don't touch them and when I put the car in neutral the noise stops. Does anyone know what this could be?

another thing is It has had a misfiring problem, I replaced leads and spark plugs which fixed it a fair bit but it still was there, so then I replaced rotor and that helped a little too, the distributor cap looked fairly clean, should I still just try a new one of them aswell? This problem also is worse some days than others. What else could it be?

I know a similar thread was made about the scraping noise but I'm certain its not the brakes when thats what everyone said in it.

thanks heaps everyone.
