So I'm a bit of a car noob.

A big noob.

I was changing the sparkplugs in my Celica, and I was tightening up the last plug, and it just broke. I don't know what to do, can I get it out, or am I screwed? I need this car for work tomorrow! please help! frown.gif!

Well the threads are still in the cylinder head. And the top half is laying in my garage. Any ideas on how to get it out, I've looked at it online and it said something about a dye or something.

Well yes. I can't unscrew it back out of the engine. It's in there.

you'll need a special extractor bit thats got left hand flutes on it that dig into the shell and unscrews it. you dont have one, try a sears tool dept.

looks like that, buy one big enough to grab into the spark plug shell to remove it.

when the plug shell broke, did the whole plug without the threads come out or is the porcelain part broken off into the threaded shell as well? if the porcelain is broke off then just get it towed to a shop, the head will need to come off to take the broken plug out.

Okay I took some pics.

I think the whole plug excluding the thread came out.

use the bit, i forgot to mention you'll need an 8 point socket that can grip the bit.

you're better off going to the mechanic though, you may just make it worse if you break the bit off or pull threads out.
