on the driver left vent(left hand drive car), there is a spot to hook up parking lights switch or some other kind of swtich. i would like to get a swtich that fits that spot so i can run my aftermarket wireing for my fogs... ideas anyone?!

There's lots of aftermarket switches out there, ya gotta just kinda shop around for the right one. Check parts stores. I've seen round ones, that's what I myself am looking for for the exact same purpose.

use the dimmer switch off another cars steering column panel!

The OEM switch that goes there is for the rear fog light in the UK spec cars. looks like this:

first off, u could use dat switch! lol
second off why would one need rear fog lights... do yall drive in reverse over there all the time? jk but seriously?

It is for the benefit of other drivers, so they can see you in the fog. It also helps with navigating in the fog - because you can follow the red rear lights of the car in front when on motorways and other roads with few exits.
