Do those of you that have component speakers recommend keeping the same brand name when you get the coax speakers also? As of right now I have MTX subs and amp but want to go with some nice components. What do you guys recommend? Sorry about the weird wording but I didn't exactly know how to word it.

so... let me see if i understand your Q
do we think it's better to have all your sound system (head unit, front, rear, mids, tweeters, subs and amp) all be the same brand? sometimes it's better because a lot of the time they are all designed to work with each other but i would only worry about that for like competitions or shows. for the most part it's not that big of a deal. i would like to eventually upgrade to and alpine sub(s) and amp and maybe even the HU to match my components (mainly because i think Alpine is the best quality) but i'm not too worried about it because what i currently have is really quite good fo my needs. -------------------- |

yeah, i agree. only for shows or competitions you might want teh same brand. Or if you love the design to look the same (mainly sub/amp/HU) but if you think about sound quality, it does not matter...imo...

^^ Thats the way I was thinking. I know most of them sound pretty close to the same. I think I will just be going with the Polk Momo 6.5 components and 6.5 coaxials. They both sound amazing.
