Cystic Fibrosis, please read! Options

Hey Guys & Girls,

Some of you that I am close to already know this, but most of you do not; My older sister Niki has Cystic Fibrosis. (FYI: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene, Like me for example. More info about CF at : www.cff.org )



Every year my family creates a walking team (Walking for Niki) and we participate in GREAT STRIDES: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis, which is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's annual, nationwide walk. This year is no different; we will be walking on June 4th, 2006 in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

Each team member is responsible for raising money. I hope to raise $500.00 this year to contribute to my team. This is where you guys come in. Any amount that anyone can donate is greatly appreciated. I don't care if you only donate a dollar.

For those of you on the East Coast i figured I'd post this just in case any of you are interested, I know Erik Miguel and Nick all know where this is. My sister and my mom called the bowling alley and they are going to put this together. If the 3 of you want to come ( which would be great *hint hint*) and anyone else We can create a team the team donates the $20. So IMO it's not a bad deal considering we split the $20, get shoes and two games. I have to find out how many members are on a team, when i know I will post again.

why does it matter if it's tax deductible?

It's a legitimate question actually, if someone is making a large donation, or even a reg donation. Its like when people donate a car to a foundation of some kind and its tax deductable.

lol. It's okayyyy youngin. It's good because you are making a donation and you get a break as well. It's almost like a reward for being a good person. Idk how elses to put that.
