Why Do people Have to be so negitive., Its Related to my celica don worry lol Options

The other Day I was leaving My work and I saw a couple go out of their way to look at my car. so I popped my Alarm to get their attention and let them know I was coming. after the dropped their stuff at their Truck they came back and we started talking. The Chick wanted to buy my Celica because it was the same color as her Supra and she owns a Celica of her own. I turned her down saying I love my Car and never want to get rid of it, and have Plans for it. we continued talking about this and that. but every time I'd tell them I was going to upgrade something they always had a negative point to add to it. "its to much work, its not worth it, it wont happened." I started to think. Why the HELL DO YOU OWN A CELICA IF YOU HAVE SO MUCH CRAP TO SAY ABOUT IT!! its like everything they do is soooo good and everything else is just bad. and everything they told my about the engine, and my car. was just so far off from what I've read and was told by other people. I understand that putting a bigger engine in the car is going to be a lot of work, but don't tell me that it can't be done, or its not worth it. geez your suppose to be an enthusiast. ah well I had to get that off my chest its been bothering me for a couple of days now. thanks if you made it this far!

if they were so negative, it was to make you feel bad so you could sell the celi to them..
but dont worry, people told me that i will never had a car, and that i will never have the car the way i wanted it,

i know how u feel when i wanted to relocate my switches and my cig lighter ppl at my job and others off the street said its too much in fact its too much work it cant be done......well i wont say no more

Let me clear up something is about your post. First we were pushing our grocery cart to the truck that was parked a few cars down from your Celica. As we walked by I looked in the window (never touched the car) to see if it was an auto or not. You got all worked up about 5’2” women standing next to your car in a busy Safeway parking lot by repeatedly chirping your car alarm . I asked if you were interested in selling your car and complimented you about the color. You asked why I was interested and I explained that I would like a green Celica to match the Supra since my Celica is red. Not sure, what the negative comments are you are talking about. Only things I can think of is that when you were asking how to fix the extremely weather-beaten clear coat my husband said there is no clear coat left to buff out. Sorry if you took this the wrong way but it is a fact. When you started talking the mechanics of doing a 3s-gte swap my husband pointed it out it is very expensive to do and a ST is even worse because of the engine and motor mount issues and the transmission issues. And we asked why not just turbo the 7A-FE You seemed confused about turbos and started rambling about putting a Subrau engine in and you could buy a real GT-4 for $5000 or under( please post that source, I am sure everyone here will take two!). Also, you were bragging about your car being a Limited 25th Anniversary Edition. I tried to explain that Limited Edition and the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition are not the same. I was trying to explain that my 96 is a 25th Anniversary Limited Edition and that yours is a 97 Limited Edition. That is why yours is green. Sorry you took this the wrong way but it is just a fact. Maybe if you were a little more knowledgeable about cars then maybe you could have understood what we were saying and not assume everything is negative criticism. Obviously you are new to the car scene in Tucson otherwise you would have known our reputation with doing domestic and import performance upgrades and engine swaps over the past 25 year ( longer then you have been alive) . Not to mention all the track time we each have with our own individual cars.

BTW, next time I would like my groceries double bagged!!!!

i am a celica owner.. i DONOT advise anyone to buy one.. or modify.. i LOVE my celica. but if i was thinking of getting a car to modify or buy , a 6gc wouldnt be it... at all. its not a negativity thing its either opinions or just stating facts about the car.
