my acis throttles are constantly on short path now even more so with the sri.. off idle even ... anyhow this system I have in my hands right now is ingenious, It's a VSV I took from a wrecked MR2, I'm going to mechanically override the old vacuum routing with this frequency switch which I will hook onto the ignitor and set to my guess is around 4000 RPM and relay some ignition key switched power to this secondary VSV and engage the acis throttles, Cant wait!!! heres the part I need to complete this:

Custom RPM-adjustable ACIS controller project complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Jaycar kit is all soldered together and functional, my secondary VSV is clicking open with power and closed on discharge like it should, I've got it set to come on slightly above idle to verify whether the ACIS throttles open correctly or not at the set RPM and they do!!! I found out the reason why they get stuck open is because when the VSV shuts off the vacuum is trapped in the line... So I used a plastic hose coupling and carefully placed a tiny half-millimeter hole in it (by heating up the wire in a twist tie and stabbing it through to the centre) so that the atmosphere could relieve enough pressure to close the ACIS throttles again without hindering their ability to open under vacuum.

Now I just need someone to hold my gas pedal on about 4400 (I'm guessing is a good figure) so i can dial it in and then off I go for a test drive!

Reversing out of my driveway (up hill, narrow with obstacles) every day is what's done it, so gonna reverse in from now on and make more of an effort to let the clutch engage before I give gas. Nat's been hangin out with me a fair bit lately so I'm not completely Celicaless biggrin.gif:D:D I get people asking me how I got a spoiler and mags overnight now haha.

But yeah as I gotta just keep working on Celicas I'm doing to her car everything I've done to mine.. Intake, Dash/Ring LEDs (hers pink), Probably put in an oil catch, Get a 3" aluminum ram pipe, Once she's up to where I am I gonna template and build two CAI's.. She's onto Interior trims... blue for mine pink for hers.

ACIS mod would be cool too if she didn't have a stupid 3S-FE motor.

Still yet to document this properly, but once I get my car back with the new clutch I'll have it dynoed, videoed, pictured and documented.

So is the 3S-GE close to an ST205's engine?

Not really.... The revving characteristics are completely different between all the engines.... the engine blocks in the different 3S motors are a similar shape and bolt straight up if that's what you mean, but their internals are different. 3S-GE with ACIS has completely different characteristics to 3S-FE, 3S-GELU with TVIS, 3S-GE with VVT-i, 3S-GTE with turbo

ST205 has 3S-GTE, the T in terms of design differences is alot more than a Turbocharger
