Three things about your car...

1. It looks really good i like it.

2. I think you drop it a little or get bigger rims. (The gap is too big from the tire 2 the wheel wells)

3. Last HOW did you get rid of the gap so well??? Natalie still has a little gap. And so do I (check my profile). This pic isnt really clear to me. Can you explain what you did??

are you talking about the gap between the hood and the bumper?

i got a body shop to do my install, so im not sure what they did. if i had to guess i would say that there is no gap because of the rubber molding around the front bumper.

i still need to figure out how to adjust my hood latch, because my hood dosnt open correctly at the moment.

you can get all the parts for this convesion form (believe it or not) your local toyota parts dealer. you just need to have the part numbers and ignore the sales guy when he tells you that he doubts the parts will come it. smile.gif
expect to pay around 1,0000-15000 for just the parts. i got a good discound and my insurance paid some of the cost so i only had to shell out about 800$ for parts and got free paint and install. yay!

if anyone know how to adjust that hood latch, please let me know.

That would be cool, a Philly meet. I wouldn't be there...but you guys could get some Philly Cheese Steaks and be in eating bliss while showing off your cars... frown.gif

you do know that he has the gt4 hood AND bumper so there wont be any gap at all

the only time that there is a gap is if you have the stock hood and the gt4 bumper.

edit: i checked your profile and the reason that you have a gap is because you probably removed your 5mph bumper support and that pushes up the middle top of the bumper so it meets even...your has a BIG dip in the middle...i know that natalie had her dad install it because the shop wouldnt take out the bumper because its unsafe.

the 5mph bumper is too thick for the gt4 hood to go on correctly. i had my body shop cut it in half and paint it black so that it would work.

I would probably be up for the philly meet if my car is not apart with me under it!
smile.gif As long as someone gives me at least a week notice and it is nice outside that day I am there.

I do have the 5mph bumper still! my gap is like so tiny that it doesnt look off! My dad has to go drill something to get it so there would be no gap but it wont be a problem! just gotta have him finish the engine swap in my bros supra!

Well those A$$holes at ToySport put my hood and bumper on, so i would think that they knew what they were doing. They tried telling me that my car was probably in an accident thats why it didnt line up. Ive checked the records and NO ACCIDENTS. But like i have mentioned before, I'm tired of dealing with Toysport. After I get my last parts I'm going avoid them as much as i can.

So I need some help my little problem here. What do you guys recommend i do??

David

{edit} is this the 5 mph bumper that you guys are talking about?? user posted image

yes, that sliver metal bar is the 5mph bumper. take it off your car and put it inside of the stock bumper. see how it fits perfectly in there? now put it inside of the gt4 bumper and youll notice that its way too thick. you need to cut it to about half the thickness and paint it black. reattach it to your car and put the gt4 bumper on.
