DMAN i know your out there, tell me how much..... i should pay, or anyone. dont want to get ripped off. i want it painted the same color.....

yes its fiber glass. and made by Toyota....

oops wrong pic

im also considering modifying the bumper for the clear side markers instead of the ugly trd....

Pics of the damage here are some corner chips near the headlights....

and there is chip in the center, looks like there is a bump inside, altough no visible crack line inside, there is one on the outside....

btw, the inner headlight hole on this bumper does not cover the hi beams completely, weird ....

You should use the old rubber surrounds for the highs, might covers the gap.

can i borrow your bumper so i can have kit worx make a replica for me thumbsup.gif

well most of the damage looks too small to even make it work fixing atm. you could do it yourself. a little newspaper, body filler, glazing putty, and a couple hours could get you far biggrin.gif

Really? Weird. I would try finding a body person who doesn't work for a shop, at least not a chain. Do you have a favorite mechanic you know and trust? He's always the guy I go to for referrals.

Cost-wise, I can't even begin to imagine what that would cost. Off the top of my head I'd guess $500, but I'm seriously just pulling that out of my butt. I have no idea really.

the gap between the hood and the bumper is where the rubber goes. they say the part where is cracked cannot be fixed, because they dont warranty the paint job.

If that's ligit fiberglass, than it shouldn't be too hard to do yourself! Other wise, a shop will probably ask for 350-500. anything more is rediculous. (however you spell that, this CPU i'm using today blows w/o spell check frown.gif )

Looks like your problems are that the bumper is not far enough back, Pull it back off, clean the fcuk out of all the edges and retighten it. if it has rounded screw holes, than expand them foward a bit so that you can put a bit of back force and make that bumper reach the fenders/hood better. if all else fails, fabricate supports.

That spider web lookin crack is where the money is. If your bumper is legitimate fiberglass, than you've got nothing, and i mean NOTHING to worry about wink.gif I only wish you lived closer to me, so i could help and make a cast of that fine peice of bumper laugh.gif

You'll want to sand it down, high grit, you'r going to make your best atempt to sand a hole in it. (not literly laugh.gif although it's an easy fix if you do wink.gif ) I suppose you really want to sand a "bowl" shape into it. then Wal*mart $10 fiberglass kit, and fill it in. DO NOT USE BONDO INSTEAD!! it'll loose consistancy and be prone to cracking or seperating.

there was a thread around here about buying OEM spec paint in arasol cans that has the link in it... IDK where but pressure posted his aproval, so it should be okay. ( kindasad.gif ) w/e laugh.gif Followed by a bit of buffing and clear coating.

Make sure you was and towel dry the bumper before doing any of this.

Good luck. You've got PM.
