Hey guys,
My old battery died so I swapped my battery from the lexus into the celica. But while I was attaching the terminals, the positive side became loose and started to rub against the battery terminal, creating sparks and some smoke. I finally tightened it down (both the + and -) and tried starting the car. Didn't work. I loosed the - end, and the car then had power...but now the alarm doesn't work anymore. SO... You think that smoke and sparks may have fried my alarm? I haven't had time to inspect it yet, but I'm hoping it's a blown fuse somewhere...but does anyone else have any idea what else I should check? All other electrical systems seem fine (haven't tried audio yet).... -------------------- ![]() ![]() 2002 SC430 (WC) - 19" SSR Comp-H, Daizen swaybars, Sparco Demons, JDM Soarer conversion, carbon fiber spoiler, Injen intake, front strut bar, drilled/slotted Brembo rotors 1997 Celica ST (DD) - 17" ADR, ViS Zyclone CF hood, ViS CF hatch, K&N intake, Invader body kit |
