Just wondering if the dash cluster from a ST205 GT4 is a plug and play option for a ST204 Celica ?
I mean it is the same model car but just has the boost gauge and higher revs on the tacho plus 180km/h only. Please advise as i wouldn't mind getting one and customizing it if it does fit as a plug and play option for a ST204. |

I did see that thread but not being very technical minded i wasn't sure.
But, after reviewing it again it does mean that with a bit of work it will work and function properly ?? |

you can make it work but you do have to reorganized the way the wires are fed in to the plug harness because while the plugs 204 plugs will plug into the cluster the wires will not be in the same position.
IIRC there are 3 different type of 205 culsters, an australian one, a jdm one and a euro one all three clusters run power/inputs differently so the pin outs are a bit different. the best way to rewire the harness is to get a peice of paper mark out the pin outs on the 205 and 204 culster by following it from where the harness hooks up to the gauge culster to where it ends. then reconfigure the 204 harness to interface with the 205 cluster. also keep in mind that the 205 culster will need an input from the PIM pin out on the ecu to feed the boost gauge this can be tapped into. my head blah from being sick so if that dint make sence jsut let me knwo and ill to try to explain it again hope this helps This post has been edited by urbandork: Aug 2, 2008 - 9:15 PM |

Thanks for your help and yes, it does make sense.
We are talking about Aussie clusters here by the way. Seems like a lot of trouble for the end result but something i will look into. My 6th Gen comes standard with white face dials so i might stick with them for a while. |
