 short shifter, does the 7gc short shift actually work with a 6gc? |

i went to my local toyota dealership and got a price for for the 1994-1999 shortshifter, it was $220. so i was wondering how the 7gc shifter worked in our cars. i know some have done it. how much custom work is needed, and does it still do it's job as a shortshifter?
