im in a similar situation, cept im draggin my feet to fix mine lol

make sure you file a police report of the incident, you should have done that from the start.

you can file a police report without taking any action, but the police report solves the your word against mine issue

if he doesnt pay, then pursue further action, but i would take the car to the shop that did your work, get an estimate, then take it to 2 other places and get estimates as well.

try to take it to a nicer place, so they high ball it, and take it to a less expensive place, so they low ball it

then tell him you want the work done at the original place (middle priced estimate) and that if he cannot abide by your wishes you will take legal action until he does.

the friendship thing ends when he starts to walk over you... dont forget he is in the wrong by hitting your car, and it is his responsibility as a friend to make it right for you. you shouldnt have to do anything more than facilitate his efforts.

if he strays from that... approach the situation just like it was some snobby ass rich kid.

if you need any help, im not an hour south of you and have some body work friends who im sure could meet and exceed your expectations (as well as get some spacers for them rear wheels so your car sits aggressive enough to match that c-one front )

I feel you, I left my car at a friend's house for an hour or two in the middle of the night, decent neighborhood, didn't think anything would happen...I came back two hours later and there's two dents in the right fender.

Tell your friend to find and provide you with that $300 bumper (that's exactly like yours) and then all he'll have to do is spring for the paint job. Sorry, but that guy sounds like a total jackass and I'm guessing there's a good reason he shouldn't have been driving in the first place. Why don't people ever think to themselves "jeeze, if I drive on a suspended license/house arrest/drunker than sh1t, what will I do if I get CAUGHT"? The stupidity of people just never ceases to amaze me. well i guess his parents are going through the insurance because they dont have 1300 lol. But i am in teh process of ordering the c-one style bumper from boosted6g.

Sell D-man or 02Bluerolla the bumper and make some of your money back. D-man needs a bumper badly and 02Bluerolla just bought my cracked VIS GT4 style hood that will go great with your bumper and he might as well fix both at the same time.
This is why polyeurathane owns all - that would have just popped right out and if the paint was mixed properly there is a small chance you wouldn't have needed that either [Trust me I know - unfortunately I've been hit in the front several times over the years]
