Its finally here!!!, tarriffs... Options

My Booster tuning body kit componenets finally got here from Germany! now the body mods will be underway! WOO HOO! should be done in around a month, maybe less. im still contemplating on paint, and either way it is going to be so sweet. i do believe i am leaning towards the more expensive paint job, but if they can get the paint for free, i am set. if they can get the cheaper paint for free and the more expensive paint they have to pay full price, im prolly goin with the cheaper paintjob. but if they can get the sweet paint discounted, i will prolly go with that... details will follow. either way it is gonna be one nice lookin celi.
now on to my bigger problem. My kit is here, but its not at the shop yet. its at like a weigh station or a customs depot or something. they say i have to pay a tarriff on goods from another country. that makes sense, but what is the tarriff rate? cuz to my knowledge it is like a $300 tarriff, and the parts were $950. thats like a 30% tarriff, and i am fairly sure that we do not have a 30% tarriff on goods from germany. can someone tell me whats going on here and if i dont really need to pay a huge ass tarriff?? i will have pics up as soon as possible. if i can i'll even post up works in progress pics. so anyone know anything about tarriffs?
