Hahaha I think I'm going to go ahead with the Tie idea, especially since it doesn't ever need to be washed really, and its alright if its a little stiff. The only problem is, what the hell could I coat it in so it doesn't fray but still maintains some flexibility.
I think that is moot for now though, until I can figure out a design and find the CF I want... that won't cost me $200 a yard. ($200 for a experiment that might not even yield any results is a bit too much) --------------------  (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny. PERSONALY!! i'd take a reg tie... Tie it arround your neck, and then coat the hanging part in FG resin (w/ standard amount of MEKP) then cover than in the Carbon Fiber, and coat again with the clear-res w/ catalist... and make sure it's on a flat surface... then you'd end up with a CF wraped tie, that is able to tie and untie.
 and it'd be stiff as crap, but that'd set it apart from other ties FTMFW!! If you're unwilling to do it, i'll do it and sell you one
