I have a 1994 ST with a ton of miles on it, but still in decent running condition. I bought this car to use as a daily driver/rolling project. The idea was to do steady improvements and then at some point, park it and do an engine swap. At that time, I'd plan to change suspension, brakes, etc so that when it hit the ground it would be more or less done. But now maintenance costs are adding up:

My front passenger side wheel bearing went bad this fall, and before I could replace it, it wore the hub pretty bad. $55 bearing + $125 hub = $180

I noticed the hub was bad when I removed the wheel to have a look at what was grinding. When I reattached my caliper, I apparently stripped out the caliper bolts. Well, one badly, but the other looks worn too. + $175 steering knuckle = $355

While trying to remove the many rusted fasteners holding the knuckle in, I split the ABS speed sensor. +$175 sensor = $530

So it looks like I will be spending over $500 just to get my passenger wheel back on. The car also needs a lot of other things just to be in good condition:

Fuel tank and fuel filler neck leaks. Multiple engine oil leaks. Front seat upholstery torn up. Many small miscellaneous repairs.

I have already put in a clutch, e-brake cables and an alternator.

What do I do with this car??

A) Do the repairs as needed and keep driving it while saving for the full restoration project

B) Park it, eviscerate it, and don't spend any money that isn't part of the project plan

C) Sell it, burn it, just get out of the shiny red money pit!

Thoughts, opinions?
