ok, i have a 99' gt with a 5sfe. i am currently saving to purchase a 3sgte. i have found many affordable engines online and they all come with a AWD 5 speed tranny. so, my questions start with, when i swap in a 3sgte what do i have to do to change my car from a front wheel drive to an AWD? or should i only purchase the 3sgte alone with no tranny? can the 3sgte run on a front wheel drive? is it hard to mount up a 3sgte? i love 6th gen celica's and i really wanna make mine a bad ass...soo please help..i really appreciate any information on how to go about a 3sgte swap. thanks alot!!

you can but its going to be very expensive
or should i only purchase the 3sgte alone with no tranny?
You can, but its going to take a while to source the rest of the parts if you plan on just buying the motor.
can the 3sgte run on a front wheel drive?
Yes look at 10% of the forum members we have the 3sgte swap running on our stock s54 tranny because it bolts right on with a hybrid set-up clutch or running with the e153 transmission with the 3sgte clutch set-up.
is it hard to mount up a 3sgte?
No because you have a GT it bolts right in. Out with the old in with the new.i love 6th gen celica's and i really wanna make mine a bad ass...soo please help..i really appreciate any information on how to go about a 3sgte swap. thanks alot!!

ok...so if i swap in the 3sgte will my stock tranny work? and what exactly will i have to change in my clutch..basically, when i drop my 3sgte in, what changes will have to be made? different tranny? different clutch kit? and if so, where can i find these parts?

yes you use your stock GT tranny and a hybrid clutch set-up. 5S flywheel, 3s pressure plate and 3s disk with 5s splines IIRC. Clutch companies make the hybris set-up, like SPEC and others.

can i find this "hybrid" setup as a clutch kit? or do i have to source the parts by themselves?
