im planning on lowering my car but i dont know what to get. I was looking at these coilovers but i dont know if theyre any good. Do they just go in place of our springs? And how would it look if it was lowered 2.0 front 2.0 rear?

i wouldnt go that way. imo
i would go with lowering spring w/ new shocks (cheaper) or full coilovers (expensive) obviously getting full coilovers would be better but if you are on a budget i'd go with lowering spring and some new shocks i.e. tein's or eibachs with some kyb gr2 shocks. im not sure what everyone prefers. search around the suspension forum. there are already some pre-existing topics about this -------------------- ![]() 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

Yeah, definitely don't skimp out if you go coil overs. The half-a**ed ones like those you posted utilize stock struts (or stock replacement) and as such won't be properly valved for the setup.
On the cheap, you can just slap a set of springs in there like Tein S-Techs or any of the other brands. If you've got the coin, full pillow ball upper coil overs are the only way to fly, but it's gonna cost ya around $900-1K min. -------------------- |

if you want 2" for a drop - go with the tanabe springs. thats what i have and i enjoy them.
make sure that your shocks are in good shape if you plan to not get new shocks -------------------- you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!

arospeed isn't for the weary, the rates are pretty stiff.
I ran arospeed coilovers on my celica and drove it daily with out a problem, but some people complained it wasn't the smoothest ![]() I'd recommend getting TEIN SS coilovers. Arospeed is a company from back in the day which was pretty good at what they did, what you see now is pretty much parts that are left over from their existence. would these arospeeds wreck a set of kybs really fast? i know you aren't supposed to drop lower than 1.5" with kybs |

I was on KYBs in the rear and i was lowered over 2" all the way around.
best way to lower a celica in a reasonable budget is on TEIN SS coilovers. |

k-sport is a cheap alternative...or settle for a spring setup....or save up for a little while.

If doing the work isn't a problem i would recommend just getting springs first. Then you can replace the shocks later if you need to. I have a 40-50mm drop on the original struts and the ride is superb. The OEM shocks are pretty good.
Push down hard on each corner of the car. If it springs up once, then settles the shocks are still good. If it bounces up and down more than once, you'll need new shocks too. ![]() -------------------- |
