so we went down to the LA autoshow on friday and I thought i'd share some of the fun

Heres my favorite car of the evening, wish I took more pics b/c it was hot. The color could have been better though

ISF, lovely

Taco powered, I didn't know snails grew that big!

beamer 1.2 liter, I had to pry her off of it

more goodies

This is my dream car, but none of the pics turned out really well
It's a black edition, super hot

I want these rims, can't seem to find them in this color though

/r/ moar pics of the 370Z if you have any. wink.gif
I can't wait for the Canadian Auto Show.

Also for an American car, that Camaro is decent (I know this is blasphemy). Though hopefully they won't become a plaugue on the road like the Mustang is.

Also, did you snap any pics of the Genesis?

I dunno bout yall, but I think the 370z is the shiz. That rear c corner or whatever it is called looks ridiculous on the body..reminds you of back in the day 280z status.

i wish instead of the 350z they should have done 340 then the new one would be 380 and the next one 400z...corresponding with the old ones...where do they get 350 from...i dont have really strong opinions one way or the other, but does anyone have any thoughts on why they didnt do it this way?

Oh man, this is going to blow your mind how easy the answer was. wink.gif
CC displacement.

240Z (S30) - L24 2.4L I-6
260Z (S30) - L26 2.6L I-6
280Z (S30) - L28 2.8L I-6
280ZX (S130) - L28E(T) 2.8L I-6
300ZX (Z31) - VG30E(T) 3.0L V6
300ZX (Z32) - VG30DE(TT) 3.0L V6
350Z (Z33) - VQ35DE [VQ35HR 2007+] 3.5L V6
370Z (Z34?) - VQ37HR 3.7L V6

There you have your answer, all generations of Fairlady Z accounted for wink.gif

Edit:
Also in Japan the strict naming policy drops since there are added engine options.
The S30, if you're lucky, can be had with the Z432 package, the S20 I-6 sourced from the first Skyline GT-R.
The S130 could be had with the L20, 2.0L I-6 apart from the other 2 engines.
Z31 could have the RB20ET(2.0L I-6 Turbo), VG20ET (2.0L V6 Turbo) and the VG30DE later on.

I'll post more pics of the Z and some other cars later when I get the chance, although I can't promise they're good pics kindasad.gif

It was something like 12$ admission and about the same for parking.

Taskbot beat me to it. Mercedes and Lexus do it the same way, although the Lexus hybrids I don't understand.

Anyone know the name of the color on the rim in the last pic?

almost forgot your genesis, here ya go:

I wasn't the one with the camera, or else all the pics would have been angle shots.

I almost had them take a picture of the GM sign, since it might be the last time they're there laugh.gif

So, is it me or does the 370Z look really short. I think its those back windows. Hahaha talk about blind spots. Still very sexy car. I though the L shaped lights at the back would really make it look funky, but that rear shot makes it look alright.

Hyundai might have just sold me a car. I have to hand it to those guys, they are just doing something right with that car. Plus as an inexpensive RWD coupe is going to hit the markets before the Subaru/Toyota coupe or the rumored return of the Nissan Silvia (Someone confirm this, all the autoblogs are pissing me off. I want substantial evidence that one of my dream cars is coming back). For a Hyundai, that thing is sexy. Hmmm there's one problem with it though. Is anyone else getting the V35-V36 skyline vibe from this thing?

Also, HAHAHAHAHA GM.

For guys that are going to the government asking for a bailout, they certainly have no qualms about making completely one off concept cars that will never be put into production. Not only that, but they make the cars look so hideous. What was up with that Saturn thing. With cars like that its no wonder why they might not be returning.

I so can't wait for the Canadian auto show. biggrin.gif
