I've had my Hotmail account since 1998, and I don't wanna have to create another account to use the email feature of my iphone, I have found a few companies who offer a service kind of like a mirror or server for an annual fee, some of them are as low as US$30.00 a year, but have any of you found a free solution to this ? I also have a windows live plus account which should have solve my problem, but they stopped offering the service some time ago.

My best friend has an iPhone. I think she is using a Yahoo account, but she isn't paying a cent for it. I'll give her a call after I get off the phone with the girlfriend and ask her how she did it.

EDIT: Never mind. I didn't read your post well enough. You said you DON'T want to create a new account. Sorry! I need to be more careful from now on.

It seems you can sign up for a Hotmail plus account, and that'll offer Pop. But IDK if it's free.

the hotmail plus is not free, and the izymail has never worked for me, I have done it over and over more than 10 times thinking it was something wrong with my set-up, but I think you have to sign up for a 1 year subscription for it to work. unless is this new update firmware i have IDK

if you don't have a data plan, you can use msn alerts to alert you when you receive an e-mail. basically you text back SEND or something, and then it texts you the first 250 characters of the e-mail. but you can't send using your hotmail account. you can't really do much without a data plan.

if you have data, you can go to mobile.msn.com from your iphone's browser. it's basically a less data-intensive version of hotmail for better loading times and if you have a limit to your data usage. i'm not sure if there are any iPhone software for incorporating a web-based e-mail client to function (other than your browser), most rely on a POP3 or IMAP server account.

if you want a built-in, fully functional hotmail application that supports push, you should get a windows mobile device smile.gif.

I have a data plan, and I can access hotmail from my browser, I was just wondering if there was a way around spending an extra ~ 18 dollars on izymail to access hotmail automatically, but since there is no other way I'll just spend the money. I mean is only 18 buck for the whole year.

I had a Blackberry and it was nice, but the iphone has a bigger screen and more apps that I can actually use, so blackberry made a nice Christmas gift for someone else. lol

Blackberry's... Fail. I can't stand them lol. Just my opinion. You know what I hate more than Blackberry's? env2's. Epic fail. That has to be the most useless phone ever. Yet they sell like hot sh*t. Again, that's all just my opinion.

So Culpable, you only have to pay $18 for the whole year to access your Hotmail account or $18/month for a whole year?

it's ~ 18 for the whole year, it comes down to a dollar with some change a month. that's to be able to use izymail on the iphone as a pop3 server of my hotmail account.

I'll pay for it this year, while I work something out with my email situation, this account makes me too much money for me to risk it and change over to another one, and even if I create another one to use on the iphone, my priority is my hotmail account since personal messages can wait but business relate message are what I'm try to expedite responding to.

I've been thinking about email forwarding so I'll take a look at that as well
