hi just wondering what the easiest way to change the wiring harness on a 5s-fe do i have to remove the intake in order to get the whole harness off?

why are you removing an engine harness?

and the intake removal is probably the easiest part laugh.gif

it runs up in back of the motor where you have to remove some some braces too.

im completely changing the engine and the wires on the new engine have been butcherd

then pull out the wires with the motor and swap them while they are out of the car?
and if you mean intake MANIFOLD...then your answer is no.

when making posts try to be as detailed as possible so its easier to answer your question wink.gif

[ok got the harness off but i am thinking there has to be an easier way then removing the dist and all kinds of other crap to do it

yes, there is.
you disconnect it at the fuse box in the engine bay, and in the passanger compartment from the ECU and 3 interior plugs behind the HVAC controls, and pull the motor, then label and disconnect everything with the motor out.

It helps if you remove the valve cover on the 5sfe.

yeah i found that was the easiest way but the dist and a bunch of vaccuum lines were also in the way

the easiest and less confusing will be to paid for someone to do it.

JUst follow pressures advice.
