California is now $42 billion in the hole and the end comes Jan. 31st....that is the last day the state will be issuing checks for tax refunds and most services

Instead you will get a piece of paper from a bankrupt state that says the state owes you money and will pay you sometime in the future.

But even with the freeze beginning next week, the Times reports, California will still fall $346 million short for the month of February, forcing Chiang to consider something only done once since the Great Depression: issuing IOUs. "

I hate CA Life, but the messed up thing is, WE PAY A GRIP IN TAXES AS IT IS!!!!! When gas prices went up, who paid out the arse? We did, NY, and FL. While all the other states were chillin' at a buck and some change. This is bull!!! Now we are playing with friggin Monopoly money. Once school is done, I am leaving. Screw this place.

Haha Illinois had it pretty bad too. We sat are $4 something for a long time up until recently. I could go across state lines to Kentucky and it would be $2 something... But hey, on the plus side, Illinois will not be issuing IOU's, even after Blagojevich has taken everything.

I bet it is hard as hell for an American to get into Canada. But I would have no problem moving out there. I hate snow, but small price to pay in my eyes.


I wonder if I go gambling and not pay taxes on winnings, because I can have my SS card on me. Then when they IRS asks for money, I will send them a piece of paper that says "I OWE YOU". Hhhmmm..........

^ on that note, I do want too/plan to sometime in the future I like it up there.... the imegration works on a point system like you have to qualify for 40 points (ish) to get in, or you can go on a work visa. points can be issues based on school education level (degrees), financial statusI think you get single point for speeking french too (from what I remember anyway. may not be complteatly accurate.)

Sux for Cali..... I figured govanador should (should have) be in the next terminator and donated his % to the states botton line quality charity work can make the diff.

we have like the highest cost of living and now we are gonna be broke like mother ****ers... dam soo many businesses are going to go under. This is kinda scary seeing as i go to school on grants, I wonder how long before they cut all of my grants dayum. Nas says "drugs kept the streets from starving!" haha random comment.
