Transmission Fluid Leak Options

So I went in for an oil change today to one of my respectable mechanics and I was told that I have a very small leak in my transmission I think he said from the seal. He told me it wasn't something to worry about only if I noticed big losses in the fluid. Anyone else have any input on this about if I should be really concerned? I don't know if I should wait to see if it gets worse or to get it fixed asap so I don't end up making things worse For now I'm going to keep a close eye on it via my garage floor

keep a close eye on it, check the levels, see if there is a difference from day to day, week to week, etc. when its gets real bad, begin planning to repair. My celi has an oil leak for 3 years now. I check the oil all the time, it pretty much stays full until the next oil change so small loss of oil for 3-4 months. Of course if you have the money or the labor to do it, I'd repair it immediately.

Not sure if he said it was around the seal or not. I'm pretty sure he said around the actual transmission seal itself. As for transmission, I'm running the stock 5-speed one that came with the car
