I have swapped a gen. 3 3S-GTE into my ST182 celica. I have an original st205 ECU but i have the following error codes:
21 which is the oxygen sensor
54 of course (i do not have the water to air intercooler)
My problem is the error code 23 because i do not know what the error is.
Does anyone know what error code 23 is???
I was told that it could be Intake Air Temperature Sensor signal, but i have checked the sensors and the wiring and i can't see any errors.

I believe 23 is either Intake Air Temp sensor or the MAP sensor, if i remember correctly.

hmmm ok, i have changed the MAP sensor because the one i got was wrong, but i got an error code 31 for the mapsensor and the map sensor i use now is from a running st205.

I was wrong, 24 is for the Intake Air Temp sensor, at least on USDM cars it is.

A sensor is mounted in the inlet manifold to measure the temperature of incoming air, (205 only). Sensor measures the temperature of the incoming air so that the ECU can alter ignition and fuelling to suit. Colder air = more fuel
