Cars with Rust Options

Hey guys i am in my final stages of buying a zenki 240sx SE but then this kouki came up that looks REALLYNICE or say has all the plans of exterior what i was gonna do.......BUT if u look at the last pic on this thread, u can see rust building up on the engine bay...and the owner has told me he has brought it from New York(known for cold snowy weather which builds rust)

Owner has told me, The frame looks clean, where there is rust it is occurring at some fasteners and on some of the exhaust.
There is some rust, mostly bolts, and slight edges of metal where the powder coat rubbed off. I don't think it is too extensive. This car was originally in new york, but wasn't driven much during the winter months.

Is buying a car with rust worth it or do i need to avoid these cars?

This is still a really great community on here, and if you read most of the replys from this and previous threads he's made, at least the majority of people are trying to be helpful in some way.(they still might have some sarcasm, but at least they are helpful )

Ive read some of Mr Grapes posts b4, and yea, he has posted some kind of stupid questions (no offence grape), but I mean, how are you suppost to learn about anything w/o asking questions. And this community used to be all about any car what so ever like Jen was sayin. Just because this is a Celica club doesnt mean that you cant ask questions about other cars. Personaly, between me and Keroppi, we have owned 3 celicas and a supra. But I also have had alot of experience with AE86s, S13s, S14, R32 Skylines, EF civic, EG civic, EP3 Civics, DC2 integras, Geo metros...theres nothing wrong with asking about other cars here. I think that yea, if the questions are stupid or w/e or he asks alot of questions, we should still be supportive of him and help out as much as possible and drop the attitude. Ive made so many friends of life off this site, but ive noticed they were only the old school people on the site who I made that sort of connection with.

Its not that he is asking about another car..its just that he is constantly asking stupid questions that can be answered on google or any other search engine..This is like the 20th stupid thread he has started about every run of the line car questions..I personally have nothing against him but after a while ppl just get fed up with it..

That's a pretty nice car, looks like someone put a lot of time and money into it. I feel the need to warn the seller of the impending doom he's about to sell his car off to.

As for rust in the bay, I agree with Erik in saying "what rust?". I don't think people from CA know what rust looks like.
