Lil Joe in this aprils issue of super street???? Options

So I got my April issue of Super Street magazine.

I was reading through it, and I came across the "Mail Sack" section.

I started reading all of them, when I came to one that was titled, "Beetle mania".

I thought to myself, WTF???

So I read it, and it was talking about 6th gen celicas, and why none are featured in Super Street.

Then it said Via the internet, Eddie "Lil Joe" Freeman.

So was it "lil joe" from this forum?????


Oh, and if you get the issue, there is a Celica Supra featured. It has a 7mgte swap!!!

this would be a dream to be featured in any magazine. its kinda hard for some hawaii folks to get noticed. there were some lucky guys in some past mags.

What Super Street kind of pissed me off too.. They said 6th gens look like VW bugs.... They were bashing on the styling of them..

Somebody needs to submit a badass 6th gen and make them eat there words.

WE need a GT4 complete replica on there, as many people love the body style in the states and didn't even know they loved it.


Anyway, I would HATE to be in Super Street. Of all the cars that (no offense, and my car isn't even great but...) are stock, dirty all the time, usually have cheap emblems and other things from Autozone that only degrade your car, and stuff that have that SUPER STREET sticker on their visor that I have seen drive around here?........ No thank you!


There is a guy with a 6gc here in town with exhaust and rims and lowered. Guess what? I drove by and seen his emblems, I know right away they were from Peopboys or something. One emblem said "Turbo" the other had this strange shape to it. Sure enough, we had to go into pepboys for some Z871 rated protective eye glasses for shop, and I seen those exact emblems in there! LOL

Yes that was eddie..i hope he speaks up in this post, but he might be TDY right now..anywho yea, he wrote a bunch of letters to editors of the magazines, in some cases, asking why celicas arent featured, or if they could feature his car... those snobs, only shot him down with lame excuses and now this...WOW...

ANd on another note, he did give them the link to this site....he told them there were alot of badass celi's here they could interview. Once again, shot him down...dont know the excat details, but thats the gist...

Yes that was me that sent that letter VIA email. It started out as me trying to get into the reader rides section,. But then I noticed that I've never seen a 6gc in any type of tuner mag period. So that's I when started asking them questions. The letter were sent to various tuner mags just before I sent the thread "6gc Recognition". I was really thinking it was gonna get in there mag or anything like that, but hey, maybe if we as a 6gc community started complaining more or submit pics and details of our rides to these mags then we might get a lil somethin or other.

Damn man, that really sucks. I have only seen one 5th gen in the readers rides section, and I saw one 5th gen featured in project car mag.

I think it would be awesome to have a badass 6gc featured.

Maybe we could all start submitting letters, and they would get the hint.....

Probably just the circle headlights...and even then that's all that I can see that'd be similar!

Main-stream car mags are total crap anyways. It's nice to see what people can do with some money...and by people I mean companies/teams and by some I mean more than my yearly salary! Gotta love snobs.

Didn't you know - if it doesn't say Honduh on it with more money in mods than the car was worth brand new or some high dollar Silvia or Skyline it just looks like a beetle.

About 3-4 years ago there was a 6th gen in Super Street readers rides. Red with attempted clear tails which just looked like fogged over white lenses.
