The fabric at the top of my door cards was fraying and falling away, so I pulled them off and dismantled as much as I could.
![]() From the back you can see where to undo the door handle. ![]() From the front you can see that the material can have some overlap here. ![]() I peeled off the old fabric and used it as a pattern on some cheap faux suede fabric I bought for NZ$6. I needed roughly 700 x 300mm to have plenty of overlap (I think actual dimensions were 650x220mm). The fabric was 1400mm wide so I only needed a 300mm strip of it. ![]() Checking that the fabric fitted and tucked in correctly. ![]() While holding it in place I folded half over so I could glue the center and work my way to the edges. I used some cheapo spray adhesive that dried too quickly, If I were to do it again I think 3M Spray 77 is the stuff to use. I used a flat head screw driver to work in the edges. |
