all the comments blame the red parked car... to me it looked like the driver turned too early. The second accident could have been avoided though. that was just beyond avoidable. Not to mention it looked like someone was crushed between the sti and the little hatch 0.0

a loud exhaust note wails in the distance "what kind of car was that Luke?" Luke: "a boxer motor, probably a subaru"
another exhaust echoes into the room " what about that one?" Luke: "somekind of v6, german I think"
an obnoxious fart "that one?" Luke: "civic"
DISTINCT THROATY ROAR "i don't like that one" Luke: "OMG GT4!"

Its not the celica drivers fault.....its the race organisers fault for allowing spectators to park their cars on the course.......I have been to a few rallies and have never been allowed to park anywhere near the course..usually a good 5 mins walk away.......would you park your car on the edge of a race course? of course not, so why park on the edge of a rally course.

You could also blame the idiot spectators for parking there in the first place.

I agree 100%, why would people park along the course like that? At least it stopped the celica from going off over that hill. As for the 2nd accident, totally unavoidable. Why didn't some of the spectators run up the course some to flag or warn the approaching drivers? Every person who stood around watching and not helping is partly to blame for that 2nd accident.

while some of the spectators were trying to move the celica out of the way, there were others who were trying to wave to the 2nd car before it crashed. but rally drivers instinctively ignore spectators even though they are in the middle of the road. but instead, the spectators who were trying to signal to the other car made things worse by blocking the driver to see the celica stopped in the middle of the road.

True. What I'm saying though is that they should have gone further up the track, around the curve the cars were coming from. By the time they made it around that curve, it's pretty much too late. That first car that came after the crash wouldn't have been able to stop in time either, but luckily for him there was enough room for him to go around.
