well im doing a 5sfte set up and my friend is selling his VAFC to me and im wondering if i can use that as my piggy back system?? please help me out guys

i dont think that will stop him from using it as an AFC. i could be wrong but im pretty sure all the AFC functionality will work just fine

i thought the VAFC was specificly for vtech cars?

It is, he just wont use the V tech portion. The only real difference between the vafc and the safc is the capability to set the different v tech points. However it still acts like a regular safc. If he is going to give you a deal on it and will be cheaper than a safc, I don't see why you shouldn't grab it.

it will still work. grab this if you can, it will work just how jcaron said. its basiclly gonna be an safc. just dont pay any attenton to the v-tech settings or monitoring. youll just have extra wiring left over for the v-tech.
