So I want to install a factory-looking and high quality set of white face guages for my dash. Any recommendations and is it an easy install?? are you referring to the actual gauge cluster? or adding in after market gauges that look factory? I have some Defi gauges above my radio if you see the pic in my profile. |

Installation is pretty easy.
Screw off of the panel below the steering wheel, then you'll find 4 screws holding on the plastic housing of the gauge cluster (2 on the bottom left and right corners, and 2 under the sun visor). Then it should just pull out. There's 2 or 3 wire clusters to disconnect. From there the housing has some screws holding the plastic cover. You can slide the covers over the old needles and pull them tight. I would recommend putting a tiny bit of glue on the back. Be sure to mark where your gas needle is sitting (or give it a full tank before doing this). Since it doesn't reset, if you bump it, it'll be off (which was the ONE thing I did wrong on mine...). The gas and temp needles can pop off if you pry up the sides. This is the only way to get on those covers (if you do them at all). I'm sure I'm missing a couple of screws, but there aren't many in total. Once you start, you'll easily spot the next ones that you need to take out. Got mine out first try, and back together perfectly the first try. Also, the actual bulbs behind the cluster have a green film on them. If you take these off, your needles will glow a nice orange color. Otherwise your needles will be the standard green. -TC -------------------- Live your life for yourself. The one I have slide on all the guages over the needle, no taking them off at all. Super easy to install.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR NEEDLES OFF!!!
Doing so will screw up your gauge cluster. The overlays slide OVER the needle. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

DO NOT TAKE YOUR NEEDLES OFF!!! Doing so will screw up your gauge cluster. The overlays slide OVER the needle. It's easy to pop off your gas and temp needles, those will just pop back on and so long as you mark your gas needle's spot, you won't have any issues. Don't take off the RPM and Speedo needles, you can slide over those ones. -TC -------------------- Live your life for yourself. Don't hold back for anything or anyone.

Yes, you need 194 type bulbs. For the key ring light and ash tray light you need bulb type 74 IIRC.
