well, to my suprise I walked into the house yesterday after work and found 3 boxes waiting for me.

ebay header from surewin

magnaflow high flow cat (this was only like $20 more than a normal one)

vibrant ultra quiet resonator ( ooohh... so shiny)

it was like christmas all over again.
now all I need to do is wait on my muffler which is backordered, but that'll give me time to shop around to see who's gonna fab it up for me.

If you have a good exhaust guy you can do it. I have mine over axel and it doesn't bump up against it or anything, not rattles what so ever.
hurry up and get it done then get a clip up of what it sounds like!

i know, I need to hurry up and get it finished, but I cant get it up without all the parts. but for the mean time, I really like looking at all these shiny parts in my basement.

LOL...That header won't stay shiny for long. Once you install it, pop your hood every other day and watch it change from shiny, to gold, to purple, then a mix of all 3 with a hint of blue....

What happens if you throw some protective high heat coating on them first? Do they still oxidize?

yup, its because the metal is getting so hot its molecular structure is changing. crome doesnt stand up that well to those kind of extremes, ceramic coating, or not.

So... Ceramic coating a waste of money then?

no, it helps keep heat inside your exhaust where it belongs instead of making your under hood temps go through the roof.

ok, i'm getting ready to get my exhaust done either this weekend or early next week and I noticed these two plugs.

and they plug in here

and above, the header has a place for 1 plug.
What should be done with the second plug? is this an issue? is this gonna screw up my emission stuff?

btw, my phone actually takes really good pictures.

They're both oxygen sensors. Not sure if you can do anything about the second one. If there is a catalytic element between the two sensors in the stock exhaust, then I'd say extend the wires for the second plug, have an O2 bung welded in the new pipes BEHIND the new Catalytic, and you should be good to go.
