removal of the hatch... Options

so basically removing the hatch is a pain the glutious maximus....but as i removed it i discovered a few things...
i kinda ripped the thing off, considering i had no idea how to get it off...anybody know???? i need imput, and where can i buy another?

this thing was a pain to take off....

i wanna put some chairs back here...more comfortable i'd imagine.
