I've got a centerforce stage 1 in my car, and ever since the install (over a year) the clutch engages/disengages close to the floor. It also feels like it has trouble disengaging at times (sticking). The pushrod has been adjusted as much as it can be, I was told any more adjusting and it would put pressure on the throw-out bearing. I also feel clutch chatter in the mornings, but right now I'm assuming thats just specific to the aftermarket clutch. The slave cylinder has been bled, the clutch was broken in for 1000 miles, and valvoline synthetic tranny fluid was put in during install.
I plan on switching back to non-synthetic tranny fluid first, because it is very notchy right now and then possibly ordering a new rod (Is this the correct one for clutch adjustment?). My friend said if neither of these help, then the clutch is just too thick and is rubbing and not disengaging and I may possibly have hot spots on the flywheel. Anyone know what my problem may be or if this is the right route to take? Thanks, Travis This post has been edited by 99Celica: May 30, 2009 - 1:43 PM |
