He said it's not permanent, obviously he's missing the cup/pod. Just an early post to share his excitement about getting his 1st aftermarket gauge. What a bummer OOBE.

PS. How's boosting (or suctioning tongue.gif) going without the crap in the back?

Maybe you haven't realized it, but that gauge doesn't look tasteful at all, especially in that spot. Just trying to steer you into a cleaner way of modding. smile.gif

That's not where it's going to sit forever, I'm going to buy a red bulb for it and a pod to sit in a better spot wink.gif

Haha. It pulls a little harder. It can keep up with my friends VR6 with lots of mods that runs a 15.2. I haven't been down to the track, but we'll see wink.gif

I'm debating pulling out the subs. For racing definitely, but I think today I might yank the box out and see if it makes a big difference.

With our cars, I've noticed that every bit of weight reduction makes a noticeable difference. I can clearly notice the contrast in boost response and how the car pulls from a dead stop. Might be a placebo effect, but other cars I've ridden don't seem to feel different with less weight in the back.

Theres alot you can yank from the car without even changing the look or the functionality, I've taken out a medium dog worth.

It feels even better when your battery is mounted to the middle of the boot.

why not just save for the actual go fast bits and pieces (ie...turbo) so you actually have a reason to get gauges? you started off strong...careful

Couldn't afford it.

Got this instead;

Yes, I know there's a few things wrong with these pictures.

I'm going to clean my car up real well tomorrow, I'm going to the Fairfield meet on Saturday.
Those wires will also be cleaned up and hidden. It was just a test to see if I did everything correctly.

Haven't updated this in a while. Hah.

Here's some of my progression!

I liked the look laugh.gif

Most interior lights are now red (looks less pink in real life lmao)

Digital Tach and shift light

Gauge pod and red bulbs

Switch to control cold cathodes

Hyper-White back up lights

Sprayed the rear Toyota emblem flat black (yes, I know, it needs some cleaning up)

Much lighter sub. A single 12" now instead of two 10"s. (The wiring is crap because I'm going to have to take it out when I go drag racing next weekend)

And last but definitely not least... SPARCOS!

Authentic Sparco brackets & sliders

I get to go racing in Sacramento on the 18th. Anyone wanna meet me there? biggrin.gif

$15 from ebay. It's a universal one.

I wouldn't recommend getting one, though. They don't fit our cars very well. There's a huge gap in mine. I'd spend some extra $$ and get the one that the member here sells. I bought this to get a cheap way out, and I paid for it with it looking horrible.
