on usdm celicas the passenger side axle needs to be oem
the problem with rebuilt ones is that they are too short some times or to long. I got re-manufacture ones from autozone as well as other axle shops and they where all not the same size. one of mine came apart at the cv joint the problem with the celica is it shares axle spline counts with camrys and because the celica isnt as popular as the camry the companies who re-manufactured the celica axles many times did not get the spec. i went through 4 axles the last one ended up putting a hole in my 3rd gen 3s oil pan spacer and that was a pain to fix. I can not stress how important it is to get an oem axle. |
