that is the wiring. Do those things and the car starts, drives, ect..
fyi if you want cruise control or airbag light to work, there's a bit more.

airbag light kind of important, will check that out. i have cruise, ill try to figure it out, if i cant ill pm you

ok for cruise to work you need to add a wire to the dark grey interior harness (pin #10) and tap that into the blue/white stripe wire from the ECU (throttle position sensor). The US GT has the wire there but the beams doesn't. Your car is wired for cruise and needs the signal from the tps, tap it from the wire on the ecu, just like a US celica.
sidenote, the beams harness has a blue/white wire on pin #8 that the US doesn't have...I wonder if that is already connected to the tps and just move the wire...chances are yes, but unconfirmed. I'll confirm in a week or so.

for the airbag light, there are 2 ways...
1. run a wire from EA1 through the engine harness (or body) to the light grey interior plug (pin #5) and it's just like stock (using the SRS fuse in the engine bay for power).
2. just add a power wire (all time) to the light grey interior plug (pin #5) and it's just as good as stock.

cruise wire is not on EA1, it's actually supposed to be in IJ1 (dark grey interior plug)

Ebay intake. I am sure I will need to mess with it as sensitive as the AFM is for this engine. Battery will eventually be in the cabin of the car. So I will have a lot of room to work with.

let me know how this goes, because my setup did not work. I may eventually end up getting the SARD kit since it was designed for the celica beams.

Update: Got it all hooked back up but no closer to getting it out for a test run do to transmission issues. Transmission will not engage when running. Checked all the shifting cable and clutch pedal adjustments and the issue seems to be an internal. With the car in the air it will start in gear but when you apply any pressure to the spinning wheel its stops not just one but both. So the clutch and pressure plate must be fried. No mechanical noises.

As for the Beams cluster is not just a plug and play for the 94 GT as I thought. I hooked it up and no RPM or speed movement from the cluster. I am gonna recheck all the plugs to make sure they are seated correctly.

So I am gonna try to figure out the cluster and then I am gonna yank the engine again and totally go over it. Timing belt arrived and I need to pop the exhaust manifold off and work on the exhaust and it will be easier outside the engine bay. Will likely have the intake manifold polished why apart as well.

Did you swap over the cluster to your 94 cluster or did you just simply plugged in the beams cluster? If you just plugged in the beams cluster it will not work. You will have to physically take out the beams rpm gauge from its housing and put it into the 94 GT cluster housting.

As for the transmission. I too was puzzled when I had it on jack stands and try to spin the wheels -- I was like what happened - did the transmission fail - then i paused for a second and said I did pull into the drive way fine so why won't it spin the wheels in the air. Not sure why that is but it'll only spin when there is pressure sitting on the ground.

Call me lazy I just plugged it in the beams cluster and hoped for the best. LOL I will swap the guts here shortly and retry.

As for the transmission when on the ground and in neutral car starts but when try to put in gear it will not go into any gear and when started in gear pushing in the clutch does not stop the wheels from turning so that is why I believe its clutch related. Based on the shift selector its seems that when its in gear its all the way in. It is tight and clunky going into reverse and 4th when the car is not running.

UPDATE: Swapped BEAMS RPM to 94GT cluster and it works. Also moved the fuel and temp so it looks cool.

Ordered: 3SGTE Flywheel and pressure plate and a 5SFE clutch Disk and throwout bearing. I have everything with exception to a thermostat ordered or on site for the service overhaul. Trying to track down that one item right now.

So I am dealing with my transmission issues. First one will be rectified by new FW, Clutch, PP and TB.

The second issue is tight shifting into 4th and reverse. The engine has been sititng from what I can tell at least a year and maybe longer with no fluid in the gear box. I suspect that it might get better once the transmission gets some fresh lube and used at little bit.

Does anyone have similar experience on a transimission thats been sitting for a while?

oh god, i hope not mine. did you get the timing belt.

My engine still has the oil in in, and they cut the axles and are in place, so im assuming there is still oil there, and no moisture has gone inside.

hope you get this fixed, and dont have to waste the lsd, altough if same tranny, maybe you can transplant lsd to yours if it dont work.

Worst case I can put the LSD in my S54 but I really do not want to go down that road if I do not have to. Will see I am gonna get it back out this weekend and put the new parts on it. I have everything but a new thermostat. Researching for one that interchangeable as I really do not want to order one from overseas. If anyone knows what I should be looking for please chime in. I have been swamped this week with work and have not had a lot of time to search.

Awesome thanks. I am putting is a 3sgte ASIN water pump will let you know any difference I see. I got it on ebay for $55 and is suppose to be the same as the OEM one as ASIN is one of the manufacturers for toyota.

UPDATE: Engine back out and on the floor. Took 2 hours this time. 3SGTE Flywheel, 3SGTE Pressure place, 5SFE Clutch and 5SFE Throwout bearing installed.

The stock Redtop beams flywheel weights 14lbs 10 ounces. I replaced it with a Chrome moly one that weighed 11.4. Could not justify going aluminum because it was 150 more and you only gain 1.7lbs over the chrome moly.

Next is timing belt, water pump, thermostat and plugs. I was looking at pulling off the intake manifold to have it polished but you really are only going to be able to polish the runners as its a sealed unit and I dont think one would be able to polish that very well. Any thoughts???

Got the engine back in after performing all the service today. Will post some picks up tomorrow. I got a ASIN 3sgte water pump off ebay for 67 shipped which was identical to the Beams waterpump including the gasket. Beams crank pulley weights 4.7. The C-One is 1.4lbs. I emailed Nonstoptuning about their pulley but havent heard back yet. They are just over $100 vs $330 for the C-one.
