Ok I like the louver look and am wondering if there is any possible way to get louvers for a 6gc....I know they were available for early models but none fpr ours. And would it be hard to modify other louvers to fit or even custom made? Thanks

I have seen them done (on other cars) by a stamping process, literally cutting into the hood and bending the metal to shape. I'm not sure if it would really work on a 6GC since the hood is curved.

looks good on some of the old school cars like the 1st gen celicas and the gen 2 supras, but not the 6gc imo. i don't think you'll find one made for the 6gc. your best bet is to find one from a 1st gen celica and modify to fit it to yours. there's a mint red 1st gen celica 10 mins away with one and it looks absolutely sick!

Finally! Somebody finally said it! I always hate being the first negative post in a thread. These belong on cars that are a bit more blocky than a 6th gen. The go well on cars that are very square. The 6th gen is just too well rounded for them.

I think that would look sick! Now, it might compromise the look of the Celica a bit, but a bit unique none the less. Maybe someone like Vincent can attempt it if there is enough people willing to do a group buy or perhaps you can be the first to invent such a thing. Regardless, I am sure someone will want to buy it if even just a proper fit and done in a fashion to flow with the car well.

I like my roof soiler, and people like the Varis roof spoiler and to me the varis looks like a shopping cart. Does that mean it sucks? Hell no. It's still a sexy roof spoiler, just not my taste. So in you wanting this, I think it isn't a bad idea.

this is something that will not look good on our cars, as Richee3 said, this louvres are for really square cars like the old volvos,

i have a mustang also and many people add this louvres to this version of the car, and trust me even in that really old car (74) doesn't look nice

but if you want to try go for it, just post some pictures to check it out tongue.gif tongue.gif

I should mention that just because I'm not fond of the look of louvres doesn't mean I'm not curious how they will look on a 6gc. So if you do this, you'd better get us pictures pronto!
