Has anyone adjusted valves? My 99 GT has a lot of valve clatter, I think the guy who had it before me blew a head gasket. Possibly he didn't adjust valves, when he reinstalled rebuilt head. There is plenty of oil up there, and when cold it sounds normal. When at operating temp the clatter is most noticeable. Any input would be appreciated. Ron.

To adjust the valves you need to check the clearances, and then if they are out of spec, go to your Toyota dealership and order the correct thinkness shim to eliminate that excessive clearance. -------------------- ![]() www.tweakdperformance.com contact@tweakdperformance.com |
