Out of curiosity, your not going to tear up your dash and lighten the car right?

Will it be more JDM GT4-ish, or unique floor mats/seat covers and random switches that do crazy unnecessary stuff? Or better yet, a bunch of gauges on the dash that looks like they're important, but really they just read like temperature/humidity?

Oh you got to have a disco ball! No crazy rally car is complete without one!

I'm one of the Celica owners here that always supports people who do not rice out their cars... why the hell would I add all those crazy, useless items in my car? Please give me more credit than that!

It's a rally car. Think rally car. There... details are secret till I begin my work. wink.gif

Warm. You're half right and half wrong wink.gif.

I`ll go for gutted interior (removed back seats) and a quick shifter....a full on roll cage in a road car is bad news.

I'd be a fan of a rally car with a disco ball wink.gif.

I would (for real) guess that what your going to do is a stereo system install, roll cage, maybe gut the interior a bit and add a quick shifter. It's realistically the only way I can see you spending that much money on an interior. With a disco ball of course biggrin.gif.

We had a level 1 snow emergency and I left work early. The Celica went through the 6 inches of snow like a champ going 45 mph the whole way without a hitch. I'm very pleased smile.gif.

That photo is awesome. How was the rally adventure home? laugh.gif

Well, to stop the guessing I'll fill you all in I guess. haha

When I said he was half wrong and half right, I never said there wasn't more! I'll be doing a roll cage (not full, they don't do those for our cars and I don't want my daily driver to be a pain in the ass to drive), new seats, ripping out the rear seats, and installing some new electronics including a rally computer and a communications system. I've decided to do a local rally bit that my friend used to partake in with his Sunbeam collection. It's not off roading in mud or anything, and it's not a parking lot with cones... kind of in the middle. You need to find your way to a destination and having a navigator is very important. We'll also be putting in a new suspension. The roll cage will help make it stiff, but I definitely need a new suspension.

No, I already have a new stereo system Haysoos wink.gif.

I want this to be a rally car, but still practical. I'll be keeping it lined with carpet, but there will be new custom carpeting of a different color going in. I know it all sounds crazy, but we know what we're doing wink.gif......kinda.

Pics will come in the next few weeks.

so you'll be doing TSD rally events? if you want more info and tips, i can point you in the right direction. so are you going with the terratrip odo? if you want a good intercom system i highly recommend the peltor system. the terratrip intercoms are a little bit less expensive than the peltors, but it seems like a lot of people pass them over and get the peltors instead.

I'll check into Peltor, but we've had a lot of good luck with Terratrip in the past, so I think we'll stick with them. I'm not sure of the name of the events... TSD doesn't sound familiar, I think it's something else. I'll ask Ian when I see him again this weekend. Any info though would be great.

I have no idea what that is hahaha, i'm joking. Ian will probably be my navigator, but he's bitching at me cause he wants to drive......my car. haha

But yea, if you want to when we're good to go, let me know. I think it would be a lot of fun. smile.gif
