So I've been searching far and wide across the Internet for Information on Toyota's S Series of Engines and one point of interest is that not much information regarding the 1S and 2S engine series can be found. I've found stuff like Pictures and what car's they belong to but not much else. I know the 2S-E engine came in the 1986 Celica for only that year until it was replaced by the 3S-FE. What I've seen at junkyards is that this Engine has the Intake and Exhaust on the same side pretty common for older engines i've seen. But again the Elusive 1S Engine has even less info. A Pic I've seen (At least they claim it was a 1S Engine) looked alot like a 2S-E Except with a carburetor. Also another S series Engine im curious about is the 4S engine which came in Rwd form. So anyone got any info on these Engines? I know it's totally off subject with nothing to relate to our cars but I like to look up info knowing is half the battle as they say biggrin.gif

4S-FE is printed on the firewall of the JDM ST202 Celica SS-I as an engine option or something, It's a 1.8L with a slightly larger bore & stroke than the 7a-fe. Some JDM Carina and Corona models have it.
