I am looking at a 2006 Audi S4 and was wondering if anyone has driven one and can provide me with some impressions.

Great cars...good points - smooth quick and well planted, great cruiser. bad points - a bit bland, not very good on tight twisty roads.

^ What he said. I haven't had any experience with Quattro, but my dad's '08 A4 is VERY numb. Even with 200 turbo'd HP, my car is more fun to drive, simply because I hear and feel more of the road. The electronic steering is very vague, and doesn't communicate much to the driver. All in all, the car is very much 'business.'

the S4 and A4 are two completely different cars, like comparing a 5sfe fwd to a gen 3 3sgte wrc awd.
ive heard great things about the car and i believe top gear liked it to! -------------------- 2015 Subaru WRX. World Rally Blue/Black

ah the S4...06 should be the B7?
My ex builds S4s (she owns a stage 3) and i've tinkered with them from time to time. they are fun cars with a lot to offer, can be on the expensive side to maintain. If you get one you'll learn to love the CEL and the Boost leak. They have great looks, put some coilovers on it and downpipes + a chip and you'll be kicking around pretty well. pros: funny, good looking, 4 doors, quick, easy to modify cons: maintaining (t-belt @ 60k is a MUST), CEL light and boost leaks A lot of my friend's own S4s and they all really enjoy them ![]() This post has been edited by playr158: Oct 29, 2009 - 5:52 PM |

I am going to go test drive one. Unfortunately, the closest one is about 2 hours away (which is why I asked for some impressions). Thanks for the reviews.

I never asked to drive it, but I did see him ripping around and it seemed like an awesome car. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
