I am about to sound deaden my car with edead(going cheap). Just wanted to know what other measures i can do to reduce noise/vibration. sometimes, while driving it almost sounds like something is loose on the dash. are there any bolts or parts in the car that become loose over time that need to be tightened or adressed?

Nice, its a pretty good move. I put carpet underlay in the rear of my car (the area behind the speakers) and i thought it made a difference. I put two layers over the wheel arch as i was told from the car shops that its where a lot of the noise comes in. I think i used 'ados' glue and it stunk my car out with a fume smell for nearly two weeks

Thanks for the input. never thought of doing those things. Does how much improvement do you get from asphalting.

it seems a bit quieter, but alot more sharp. one can is about $4 and it can cover all 4 wheel wells, the spare tire and side underbody

Really? I stripped my car of all oem sound deadening and I like it better that way... More turbo spool noise, more induction noise, more blow off noise. Road noise is drowned out by the exhaust rumble. I can hear/feel more of the mechanical parts of the engine working too, I feel a bit more of it in the clutch pedal.
I love the rumble of the exhaust, especially next to parked cars with vibration triggered alarms ![]() -------------------- Mike W
