-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9. Remove the 1 x screw in the drivers footwell.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Remove the 1 x screw in the passenger footwell.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11. Remove the main dash front panel (see below)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11(a). Remove the 2 x screws securing the bottom of the dash panel.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11(b). Then pull the panel towards you at the top, the easiest way to do this is to adjust the vents like in the picture below, this allows you to get your finger tips in the top to give you something to pull.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11©. Once free, you will need to look at the back of the panel and disconnect the wiring plugs attached to the clock and the hazard warning button, then remove the panel completely.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12. Remove the 2 x screws at the top of the heater controls.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13. Remove the plug on the back of the heater control unit and remove the heater control fully.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14. Remove 2 x screws above where the heater controls were.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15. Unclip the lower dial surround.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

16. Remove 1 x screw found behind surround.

17. Unclip and pull down lower drivers footwell panel.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

18. Unclip drivers side clip by pulling panel towards you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

19. Unclip Passenger side Clip by pulling panel towards you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

20. Pull dash section free and remove completely

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

21. Use flat blade screw driver to pry off cable clips and push wire looms to the sides.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

22. Remove 4 x 12mm bolts holding down the shifter assembly. The assembly will now be free.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

23. The old Rubber Bushes should look like this.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

24. Push/Slide the metal insert downwards, until it comes free from the bush.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

25. Remove rubber bush from the assembly. Do this for all 4 corners of the assembly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

26. Old rubber bush and new JSP – Solid Bush

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

27. Fitting the new solid bushes is easy. Simply push the new bushes into the assembly from the bottom, again do this on all 4 corners.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

28. Once all 4 bushes are in place, put the assembly back in place and refit the bolts tightening them evenly to ensure the shifter assembly refits correctly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

29. Refit everything the same way you took it off (following the guide in reverse order).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30. Take your car for a drive and see how she feels!!!
