This post is going to be a continuation of This post, an on going build of the 95 celica i got last year for like..60$..lol
(pics of the monster are here )

So, here we go.
First, I'd like to go over a few of the goals I have for this car/build.

The plan is as follows:

2nd gen 3sgte, running gen 3 electronics,
cam gears, and possibly cams. (264's)
TVIS gutted
water injection
3" turbo back exhaust
as far as tranny, it WILL be an E153, just a matter of if I can come across a deal on an LSD version.

I want a powerband that continues to rise, right till redline, while loosing as little torque up top as possible (cams and gears will help alot here)
my intial goal is ~300whp on the 20b till i can afford more, like most of us..lol

ill prolly edit and update the goals and plans as needed as we go along with this anyway, but i just wanted to get down what i have in mind of now.

so i went out to the garage yesterday, and snapped a couple pics of the motor, and started tearing some stuff off for cleaning ect.
tons of just "general dirtyness" everywhere on the outside of this engine, its pretty much filthy, but that will all change here soon enough. wink.gif
first, a pic of the engine as it sat before i started taking things off:

look at this intake manifold!! FILLLTTHHHY

distributor side:

heres the fuel rail once i pulled the intake manifold off..:

and the rail, taken off the motor:

now for a couple better ones..
one of the many reasons im a big fan of water injection is in this next pic.
these intake ports are NICE and clean, thank you water injection!!!

no, i did not clean them out before taking the pic...lol

intake side of the head, fuel rail still installed:

intake side again, fuel rail removed, after spraying it with some degreaser, and wiping with a paper towel (MUCH more work to be done here..lol)

and finally the exhaust side, after removing the turbo setup and spraying it down with the degreaser:

yummy.

as i continue, ill post more pics. smile.gif

Awesome Manny!!!!

I think a lot of that is the power steering fluid...well at least on the outside of the engine....that stuff got everywhere.

Can't wait to see this finished b/c I know its gonna be spectacular since your doing it. smile.gif

at the minimum it will be a 3rd gen exhaust cam, i'd like to do 264's, but it will all come down to what the budget will allow.
its gonna be awhile before this motor goes in, prolly not till at minimum summer time.

I miss the TRD cams [HKS made 264's] I had on my old 4th gen Celica swap - oh the days when TRD still gave a sh*t about us kindasad.gif
