What a great start to the new year!
On the way to my gf's last night and the ABS light came on followed very quickly by some serious grinding noises from the front passenger side. I checked it looks like cv joint has gone as there is a watery grey grease all over the place round the wheel arch. My brakes seem to working at about 20% so im guessing the abs has failed aswel due to the sensor moving? I took the wheel off to have a look yesterday, does'nt look good at all. Took a few snaps to show the damage! Basically the Driveshaft nut has sheared off completed. The abs doesnt work and the CV Gaitor is split. I imagine this is due to the wheel bearing failing. I had it replaced about 4months ago and i wasnt happy with it afterwards. So im thinking he either fitted it badly, he over tightend it or it just broke?
